The first German kitchen brand - established in 1892 by Friedemir Poggenpohl.

1928

Poggenpohl presents the reform kitchen with interconnecting cabinets with functional interiors, a forerunner to the later unit kitchen and fitted kitchens.

1930

The Poggenpohl 'ten-layer polishing technique' forms the corner-stone for the brand‘s lacquer expertise and its fame spreads far beyond Germany.

1950

Poggenpohl presents form 1000, the first unit kitchen, at the Furniture Fair in Cologne. Exports to neighbouring countries begin at the end of the decade.

1962

Poggenpohl presents form 2000 at the Furniture Fair as the formal and technical progression from a unit kitchen to a sophisticated fitted kitchen range.

1968

Poggenpohl presents the first solid wood kitchen, which marks the beginning of the trend to wood kitchens in the Seventies.

1970

Poggenpohl presents the kitchen study at "Experiment 70", the spherical kitchen by Luigi Colani, a trend for the year 2000.

1982

Poggenpohl introduces the niche range 'dimension 75', which sets completely new standards in kitchen design and is awarded a European patent.

1995

Poggenpohl sets a benchmark in efficiency with a large-carcass system.

2000

Poggenpohl presents +ALU2000 and +SEGMENTO© at the Cologne Furniture Fair, two highlights designed to put the brand back at the top among German designer kitchens after several turbulent years.

2004

Poggenpohl introduces the design concept +INTEGRATION at the Eurocucina in Milano. Like no other, this concepts stands for the integration of working and living spaces.

2005

Poggenpohl presents PLUSMODO, the result of a cooperation with the renowned designer Jorge Pensi.

2007

Together with Porsche Design Poggenpohl presents the P‘7340, the first and only 'kitchen for men' in the world.

2008

Together with Draenert, Poggenpohl presents the Dining Desk, making the kitchen finally a place where living, cooking and communication form a unity.

2009

Poggenpohl introduz novas cores nas suas cozinhas. Com nomes derivados de cores minerais - Cubanite, Oxide, Fluorite e Curite – estas novas cores refletem a atual tendência do mercado.

2010

Poggenpohl desenvolve surpreendente e inovador conceito de cozinha em colaboração com o conhecido arquiteto hamburguês, Hadi Teherani. Poggenpohl apresenta novo conceito de gavetas e gavetões. Perfis laterais leves e resistentes, feitos em alumínio, abertura assistida e interiores exclusivos, com caixas, compartimentos, divisórias ajustáveis, frascos de especiarias, tabuleiros condizentes… Estas novas gavetas e gavetões foram especialmente concebidos para proporcionar uma melhor e maior organização em termos de espaço e funcionalidade.
