This new concept was subject of very great appraisals and good reviews made by all visitors and especially by architects, both Portuguese and Angolan, who would obviously did not miss this great opportunity to see, sense and feel such a specific and sophisticated atmosphere of the + ® ARTESIO renowned concept. A unique innovation in the world of kitchen design, where walls, floor and ceiling merge creating a space, a solution, a set in perfect harmony. The functional arc, with its innovative ceiling element, offers vast and flexible options that can provide very pleasant ambiences. The Poggenpohl Angola / Brazil / Portugal managing director, Henrique Marques Neto, was always very positive, despite the times of crisis we are currently facing, and expressed his confidence in the brand, that in recent times has been receiving several quality design awards for this new model.

The Making of an architectural visualisation

The international well-known Design & Lifestyle magazine, Wallpaper*, teamed up with a digital design studio to envisage the future at Valle de Uco resort in Argentina, which has yet to be built.
For the magazine they transposed their choice of furniture and beautifully dressed models into an architectural visualisations, creating a glimpse of the future. Here we see the making of the exterior and interior scenes, featuring the new Poggenpohl kitchen concept +ARTESIO.

"Living Kitchen" in Cologne

At the "LivingKitchen" international kitchen show in Cologne (18 to 23 January 2011) the German premium kitchen manufacturer presented innovations that enhance the design, the appearance as well as quality and functionality of its lines. In addition to the presentation of new fronts and materials as well as improved high-quality interiors, this show also aimed to highlight the sales launch (worldwide) of the new +ARTESIO® kitchen concept. +ARTESIO® was only presented for the first time last year and has already won two prestigious international design awards. Created in collaboration with Hamburg star architect and designer Hadi Teherani, the concept goes far beyond the industry's typical fitted kitchen, offering instead an all-embracing solution in an architectural melting pot that fuses furniture design, wall, floor and ceiling. Poggenpohl presented the new +ARTESIO® concept for the first time to the broad German public at "LivingKitchen". The coming weeks will see it go on sale across the globe.

There was also news on Poggenpohl's Porsche Design P´7340 luxury kitchen. For the first time, the public could dazzle exclusive and stunning glass-carbon fronts. Familiar from aerospace and motor racing, the material highlights the exclusive look of the Poggenpohl kitchen that is often called the "kitchen for the man". Also on display with new front design was the PLUSMODO® line, which is known for its light, airy ambiance. The black-brown "terra" colour shade with matt surface is just one of the several new surface and colour options that are available with immediate effect not only for the PLUSMODO® model but for the entire product portfolio. Poggenpohl's presentation at "LivingKitchen" was complemented by the introduction of an innovative drawer and pull-out design in exquisite materials. Featuring an LED lighting system, it further heightens the exclusivity, functionality and flexibility of this well-known German premium kitchen manufacturer.

"LivingKitchen" in Cologne

As part of the international "Living Kitchen" fair in Cologne, Poggenpohl hosted a lively cocktail party on their stand. International designer Jorge Pensi, star architect Hadi Teherani, actors Natalia Wörner and Ralph Herforth, and famous illusionist Uri Geller numbered among more than 200 guests. Loads of fun, long conversations at the sound of DJ Jondal lounge music in a very relaxed and expansive ambiance that lasted until late in the evening.

Poggenpohl Magazine Angolan Edition now available at newsstands and retail stores.

Similarly to what happens with the Portuguese edition (Poggenpohl Portugal Magazine) Angola’s Edition (Poggenpohl Angola Magazine) will be available at newsstands and retail stores in 2011.

Poggenpohl has made an agreement with Editora Visão (part of Grupo Zwela), which is responsible for the well-known magazine ‘Chocolate’ and for the newspaper ‘A Bola’ (the Angolan edition). This agreement assures the distribution of 1.200 magazines to selected retail outlets and newsstands. Poggenpohl Magazine is a lifestyle issue that celebrates the art of living… the art of living luxuriously well. Besides presenting all news about this unique and well-known German luxury brand (creating here through a permanent bond of communication with its customers), this magazine broaches and presents in each of its outstanding issues luxury goods and items, gastronomic journeys and paradisiacal destinations. “We want to share all our luxury news and discoveries, and make us all connoisseurs of excellence(s).” In 2005, Poggenpohl signed an agreement with Porsche Design Group, which symbolized the Porsche Design’s introduction into the high-end kitchen segment. The resulting success led both brands, in 2010, to extend their partnership until 2004.

Angola has now the privilege to know firsthand, all the news, of this worldwide renowned luxury brand.

Poggenpohl Magazine

Poggenpohl presents innovative drawers and pull-outs for its kitchens.

Drawers and pull-outs are normally right-angled. That is at least what we think. Yet, on a closer inspection, their side profiles are in most cases thicker and rounded at the bottom. Poggenpohl, Germany’s premium kitchen manufacturer, introduced for the first time a new design of drawers and pull-outs with the presentation of the Poggenpohl Porsche Design P’7340 concept in 2007. The success of the design was such that Poggenpohl recently decided to extend it to the rest of the range.

The uniqueness of this new concept in not only reflected in its conception and assembly, but also in the materials used and its practical value. Lightweight but sturdy, made of aluminium, assisted opening and exclusive interiors, with special boxes and compartments, adjustable dividers, spice jars and matching trays; these new drawers and pull-outs have been especially designed to provide superior organisation, in terms of space and functionality. The pull-outs also feature LED lighting, which is automatically activated when opening them. Undoubtedly, a debauchery of elegance and authenticity up to the finest detail.

Poggenpohl Is Brand of the Century

A new edition of the work Brands of the Century, about the history of the Germany economy, was presented in Frankfurt in a ceremony attended by more than 200 especially invited guests. The book presents a total of 281 highly prestigious brands, selected by a jury comprising eight specialists of international renown, considering them emblematic and fundamental to the extraordinary reputation that «Made in Germany» products have achieved around the world. Poggenpohl was the only kitchen brand to make the list. Elmar Düffner, managing director of Poggenpohl Germany, received the prize from the project’s author and coordinator, the highly respected Dr. Florian Langenscheidt.

Besides the German language, the book will also be published in English and Chinese, to be distributed to guests to the German pavilion at the two most important events of 2010: the Football World Cup in South Africa and the World Expo in Shanghai, China. «This is a fantastic platform for bringing our company and our product to the attention of the international guests», Düffner remarked. The book will also be on display at every German embassy and Goethe Institute around the globe.

Poggenpohl opens showrooms in Brazil

Following the expansion of the brand to further Portuguese-speaking markets, Poggenpohl has decided to introduce the quality and refinement of the most luxury German kitchen brand in the increasingly demanding Brazilian market. It is now preparing the grand opening of the two first stores in Brazil; one in Sao Paulo and one in Rio de Janeiro. In Sao Paulo, Poggenpohl has chosen the beautiful area of Jardim Europa as the showroom and as the Head Office of Poggenpohl Brazil. Full of personality comprising a total area of 600 square metres and a pleasant interior garden, this space set on a plot of 1.000 square metres is spread over two floors and has 20 parking spaces.

The showroom is easily identifiable as it is located right across Lamborhini, in one of the main streets of the city – Avenida Europa. Art galleries, renowned restaurants and the most prestigious luxury shops... Avenida Europa is known for concentrating the highest number of shops selling the world’s most luxury cars – Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Jaguar, Porsche and the iconic Audi R8 and Mercedes SLG.In Rio de Janeiro, Poggenpohl chose CasaShopping – the largest decoration centre in Latin America – to integrate its showroom. Poggenpohl Porsche Design at the Ritz Hotel in Paris

The legendary Ritz Hotel on the Place Vendôme in Paris is now offering its well-travelled guests a further highlight: fully renovated, the largest suite in the famous establishment has been fitted out with a Porsche Design kitchen from Poggenpohl. The establishment in possession of Mohamed Al-Fayed since 1979, residence to international celebrities and politicians, European and Arab royal families as well as Coco Chanel who resided at the Ritz for almost 40 years, ranks among the Leading Hotels of the World.

To guarantee an exclusive ambience offering unequalled luxury and convenience in the most expensive suite, the managers of the Ritz decided in favour of Porsche Design kitchen P´7340. The 200 square metre Imperial Suite boasts two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The suite's regular guests include European and Arab royal families. The front of the Porsche Design kitchen in Driftwood matches with the rest of the interior. Driftwood, a brushed pine that beautifully imitates its namesake, has a natural-feeling touch and blends perfectly into the colours and atmosphere of the suite. A black worktop in satin-finish glass provides an exciting contrast to the warm Driftwood frontage. The innovative frame construction from aluminium, as the material characteristic of the Porsche Design brand, forms the backbone of the kitchen, uniting the materials of wood and glass to create a sophisticated, practical design that's purist in looks.

Giro Casa Vogue by Jayme Bernardo: Poggenpohl

The prestigious Brazilian magazine of architecture and decoration CASA VOGUE, in its heading Giro Decoration Casa Vogue, invites known and respected architects and other professionals to visit stores and brands they prefer and like to work with. Jayme Bernardo was the architect chosen for the Giro in April 2013. The architect visited the showroom of the most prestigious German Kitchen brand in Sao Paulo and emphasized the "innovation and daring of custom projects" of Poggenpohl.

Poggenpohl won once more the Superbrand Award 2012. Founded in 1892, is the oldest kitchen brand in the world and one of the leading international brand names in kitchen design, as well as one of the strongest brands in Germany. Poggenpohl has become, over its 120 year history, an industry's leading brand. Poggenpohl: Opens Showroom in Brazil

Poggenpohl has planned another kitchen project in one more luxury residential building and once again in Lisbon. At Rua Ivens, Chiado, one of the most prestigious neighborhoods of the Portuguese capital, the project consists in 15 apartments with a unique view over the city and Tagus River which combine comfort and sophistication in one place. The historic setting of Chiado and the twist of modernity of the interiors reflect perfectly the harmony between the past and the present of this amazing project. Poggenpohl: New Branding

The 2012 Küchenmeile A30 show event not only provides Poggenpohl with the setting for celebrating its 120th anniversary but also for presenting its new brand strategy among an exclusive circle of invited retail partners. Alongside new advertisement layouts and new website, this also includes a new studio concept for presenting show kitchens. For over 600 exclusive customers, Küchenmeile A30 began on several days before the exhibition officially started. Retailers were welcomed at the well-known MARTa Museum in Herford with a grand presentation of the new brand image. With the new brand concept, the premium manufacturer is committed to placing a strong focus on the company’s core strengths. “We want to pass our 120-year tradition, the perfection of our products and our exclusive service on to our customers”, Lars Völkel explains. “Customers need to know they have made the best decision by choosing a Poggenpohl kitchen.”

Grand Opening Porto

Closing the celebrations of its 120th anniversary, Poggenpoh opened a new showroom in Oporto on the 21st of February.

More than 100 guests filled the 300sqm space to see and enjoy the four award winning concepts from Poggenpohl to which also joined an exclusive one from its sister company Uno Form.

A new world of luxury in a charming shop-in-shop concept integrated in Edifício Burgo, designed by the Pritzker awarded Portuguese architect Eduardo Souto Moura, in Avenida Boavista.

An uncompromising and innovative design characterizes this fabulous space, (recently considered as the most luxurious kitchen store in the Iberian Peninsula). To Poggenpohl joined fellow distinguished brands such as Porsche, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Frank Müller, Bang & Olufsen, Eva Solo, Silampos, Chic, Draenert, Porsche Design and even Porcel.

The guests enjoyed sumptuous hors d’euvres and steaming cocktails prepared by Cooking.Lab and toasted to the brand’s success with a glass of Perrier-Jouët.
